EDSA invites top scholars and experienced instructors from the Anglo-American research tradition from all over the world. Bringing a different lens in providing feedback to the candidates.   The instructors are also gateways to international network of academics and other institutions. The instructors will assist the candidates in their future careers, strengthening the candidates’ network, assisting and supporting the candidates to be able to publish in top tier international journals in their respective fields.

 

 

 
Prof. Nelarine Cornelius (UK) 

 

Nelarine Cornelius is Professor in Organizations Studies at Queen Mary, University of London. She was previously Professor of HRM and Organisation Studies and HRM, Associate Dean, Research and Director, Bradford Centre for Business in Society at the University of Bradford. Professor Cornelius’ research is in the areas of social justice, business in society and the evolution of management practices in emerging, fragile economies.

Professor Cornelius’ obtained her PhD (on an MRC scholarship) from the University of Manchester. She worked in the areas of management and organisational development at General Motors Europe and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets before entering higher education. She has acted as a consultant and adviser to a variety of organisations including the Cabinet Office, Home Office, Fire Service College, Kent Police, Sussex Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police/ Canadian Police College, Prison Service, and many other for- and non-profit organisations.

She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in recognition of her efforts relating to doctoral student learning and teaching at the Universities of Bradford,  Lagos  and the Eurasian Doctoral Summer School, (hosted at Varna University of Management), in particular. She has taught on programmes in Canada, France and Germany. More broadly, she has taught on other programmes in many countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai. At Brunel, she was recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence for master’s level team teaching (with Dr. Stephen Smith).

Professor Cornelius is Visiting Professor, University of Paris 10 and Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Lagos. She was previously Visiting Professor at McGill University and Visiting Fellow at the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines (Paris) and Kings College Hospital, London. She is a Fellow and Member of the Fellows College of the British Academy of Management (BAM) and has served twice as a member of BAM Council. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Chartered Management Institute, and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society She is co-editor of Personnel Review journal.

 

 
Prof. (Dr.) Chaitanya Niphadkar

 

Professor (Dr.) Chaitanya Niphadkar holds a certification from Harvard Business School, Boston (USA) and is an alumnus of Lancaster University (UK). He is a Leadership Mentor and an extraordinary professional in the field of Leadership, Change Management, Human Resources (HRM-HRD), Training, Learning and Development (L&D) and Organizational Development (OD). He has taught as well as supervised research scholars at BBA, Masters, MBA and Doctoral, PhD level. His profile is a blend of academic as well as professional roles that display leadership. He has traveled to several countries for spreading knowledge that spans for more than a decade. His concentration continues to be teaching and research within the above mentioned areas.

 

 

 Prof. James Wallace (UK) 

 

Prof. James Wallace is Senior Lecturer in Research Methods, Enterprise and Ethics. Until recently, he was Director of the PhD Programme in the School of Management, University of Bradford, UK and a member of the doctoral training consortium, the Northern Advanced Research Training Initiative. Dr. Wallace’s current research is in the area of entrepreneurship, business ethics, information and management and the use of advanced statistical methods for social science-based business research. His research has been published in journals including Business History, European Journal of Marketing, Information and Management and Journal of Business Ethics and he has published a number of book chapters also.  Dr. Wallace is a member of Paris Research in Norms, Management and Law (PRIMAL). He has taught business research methods in the UK and also on international programmes in Germany, Dubai, Singapore, India, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates. Dr, Wallace is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, UK.

Dr. Stanislav Ivanov (Bulgaria)

Dr. Stanislav Ivanov is Professor and Vice Rector (Research) at Varna University of Management, Bulgaria. Prof. Saied Sadri (USA)

Prof. Saeid Sadri is Director of Development at Novin Construction, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. From 2012 to 2015 he was Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department at School of Engineering, Nazarbayev University.  Before joining Nazerbayev University he taught at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) for 22 years. From 2000 to 2010he was the Coordinator of Integrated Project Delivery Systems (IPDS) Track for graduate program at the School of Building Construction at Georgia Tech. He has administered and taught various continuing education courses for the industry.

He received his Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from University of Tehran and Doctor of Philosophy degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  He is a Registered Architect in the State of Georgia, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certificate holder, Designated Professional Design Builder by the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

His teaching and research interests include project management, information management, project delivery systems, total building commissioning, and virtual design and construction.

He has received National Distinguish Leadership in Education Award and Southeast Chapter President Award from the Design Build Institute of America, and Georgia Institute of Technology, College of Architecture Outstanding Continuing Education Award.

 

 

 
Dr. Samal H R. Manee (UK) 

 

BA, MA (philosophy UK) and a PhD (philosophy Europe). Emerged from a broader academic background in History and Political science, diverted to Philosophy and sustained research in Philosophy in both analytic (Anglo-American) and continental (European) spectrum.

Involved in Education in both UK & Europe since 1993. Joint and participated in many of UK’s prime academic Philosophy institutions such as: Royal institute of philosophy, Institute of advanced study in Philosophy, Aristotelian society, Mind society, Society for women in philosophy, and others.

Dr. Mehran Sepehri (Iran)

 

Dr. Mehran Sepehri is an Associate Professor at Graduate School of Management and Economics of Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Prior to 2001, he was a faculty member at School of Business in Santa Clara University. He was a visiting faculty at USC in USA in 1997-1998 and at University of Calgary, Canada in 19911992. He earned a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University and an MSc in Operations Research from MIT. He also helped, as a consultant, Oracle, Xerox and Applied Materials in Northern California. He has worked for several universities internationally, in the UK, Canada and China. Dieu has worked in NGOs, Local Government and universities in the United Kingdom. Prof. Eric Pezet (France) 

 

Eric Pezet is Professor of Human Resource Management and Organisation Studies at the Université de Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense (France). He has published in the areas of HRM, and in critical management studies, mainly in the area of control and historicity. He is co-editor of Personnel Review journal and the scientific committee of Paris Research in Norms, Management and Law (Primal).
Professor Pezet has published in the areas of HRM, and in critical management studies, mainly in the area of control and historicity. He has co-edited a number of books in the area of organization studies from a critical management perspective and published his work in numerous international journals. Professor Pezet is currently co-editing a book (with Alan McKinley at Newcastle University) on Foucault, governmentality and management for Taylor and Francis. Dr. Leszek Cichobłaziński (Poland) 

 

Dr. Leszek Cichobłaziński is an Assistant Professor of Human Resources Management and Negotiation at the Management Faculty of the Częstochowa University of Technology, Poland. His main scholary interest are in human resources management. His research focuses on the anthropology of organization, organizational semiotics, mediation in collective bargaining as well as on organizational conflict management.
The educational background of Cichobłaziński is in Sociology (he has a Degree in Sociology from Jagiellonian University/Kraków); he holds a Doctorate in Liberal Arts. He has worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Speech Department at Southern Illinois University, USA, and as a visiting lecturer at the Perugia University, Italy; “1 DECEMBRIE 1918” UNIVERSITY OF ALBA IULIA, Romania and Haute Ecole de Namur-Liège- Luxembourg (HENALLUX), Belgium. Prof. Cameron A. Batmanghlich (Sweden)

Founder / President of ‘Eurasian Doctoral Summer Academy’ (EDSA)

Cameron A. Batmanghlich, received his Ph.D. with Distinction from School of Management, University of Bradford (Triple Crown: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS) in ‘Corporate Leadership and Ethics’. He was awarded his full professorship in 2014, from three different institutions. Professor Batmanghlich has a strong international background having lived and worked in over eleven different countries in Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America, The Caribbean, China, and Kazakhstan.

Currently, Prof. Batmanghlich is an adjunct Full Professor of leadership at Varna University of Management (VUM) and before has held positions such as Deputy Dean ad Director of the MBA Department at Central Asia’s number one Business School, where he was in charge of drafting the strategy 2015-1020, re-accrediting of AMBA and managed to get the business school recognized as a UNIT by AACSB.

Beside EDSA, Prof. Batmanghlich has designed several academic programs among them Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching, Post-Doctorate Degree in Higher Education Leadership (Habilitation).

His research interest is Leadership, Philosophy of Management, Higher Education Practice, Research Methods, and Organizational Behavior.

Professor Batmanghlich is the Chairman of the Board of Institute of International Education Canada whence soon to launch a ‘Consulting Certificate’ internationally.

Dr. David Graham (UK)
David worked as a chef in leading international hotel restaurant kitchens in the UK and abroad for the early part of his career, followed by ten years of selfemployment as a chef proprietor. On selling his business interest he entered teaching in Further Education and then Higher Education. He remains a committed chef lecturer which forms the basis of his research interest. He has a passion for the hotel industry and internationalisation and the challenges that this presents, this strand of his teaching has developed into an interest into Russia and Africa as an emergent market and has become an area of consultancy. Dr. Regis Cabral (Sweden/Brazil)

Dr. Regis Cabral is a physicist and a historian of science and technology. He has a deep, and practical, knowledge of business administration and of start ups. He is a specialist on the interactions between the production of knowledge and local, regional and international development. Dr. Cabral is known for his studies about knowledge and technology transfer, the relations between universities and the productive sector, and the evaluation of international bodies such as UNESCO, UNCTAD, ILO and developmental agencies. Dr. Cabral is also internationally known for the Cabral Dahab Science Park Management Paradigm, which has been used to establish, manage, and evaluate science parks, business incubators and similar organisation. He has more than 300 books, articles and reports published. Dr. Cabral har worked with a variety of European projects and organisations including the European University on Environment, the Innovation Relay Centres, and ICT-LEAP, which was an European distance education project for the Middle East. Dr. Cabral was jury and evaluator for the Stockholm  Challenge Award which was an ICT for development prize inspired by the Nobel Awards and with similar ceremoniens. Recently he has been one of the evaluators for the Washington Mandela Awards for Young African Leaders. Dr. Cabral has received Awards from AOM, Academy of Management, USA, for his contributions for AOM Entrepreneurship and AOM methods and theory divisions. At the moment Dr. Cabral is the Director of FEPRO – Funding for European Projects, a company involved in the preparation, funding, management and coordination of projects. He is also in the management of VIP, a company engaged with forestry and agricultural projects for sustainable development in Africa. Dr. Cabral is directly involved with innovation for development at the local, regional and European levels, theoretically, empirically and practically.  He is also a locally elected official involved with adult education, integration and community planning.

Dr. Shakir Ullah
Dr. Shakir Ullah is the CEO of Washington Ethical Consulting and an Online Faculty of Finance at Stratford University, Virginia,
United States. He is also the Chair of Stratford University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). Concurrently, Shakir is an
Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland University College, located in College Park, Maryland, USA. Shakir is also
working as a PhD Advisor at the Georgetown University, Washington D.C. Earlier, he taught at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, and Institute of Management Sciences, Pakistan. Shakir has also worked as Global Business and Financial Analyst with Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Honda, MasterCard, Walt Disney and Jaguar, just to name a few.
Shakir holds PhD (passed with No Corrections!) from the University of Southampton, UK, and MBA (with Award for Outstanding Thesis) from Korea Development Institute (KDI), School of Public Policy and Management, South Korea. He has also published several research articles in reputed international journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics, which is one of the elite journals in business.
Shakir has published high impact work on the Governance and Compliance of Islamic Financial Institutions. Shakir is also a member of the Subject Experts Committees of three foreign universities.
Ana Lozano-Vivas 

 

Ana Lozano-Vivas is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Malaga (Spain) since 2002. Graduate in Economics (1987) and PhD in Economics (1991) at the University of Malaga, she took a post-doctorate in US at the Department of Finance (Florida State University) during 1993-1994.Her professional career runs between research on topics of Microeconomics; Banking and Financial Economics and professional consultant. The main research topics in which she works include efficiency and productivity; regulation, risk and financial stability; competition and market discipline.

Her researches have been published in international journals such as the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking; Journal of Banking and Finance; Journal of Productivity Analysis; Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Regulatory Economics, OMEGA, among others. Research that has been developed within the framework of competitive research projects granted by public institutions (Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and private institutions (BBVA Foundation). Having received research awards such as the Ernst & Young award for the best paper in Banking, the award of the Italian Banking and Finance Association (ADEIMF) for the best article and the prize of the University of Malaga for the best thesis advised in Economics. In addition, she has given conferences and seminars in international and national forums, and in numerous universities. She is associate editor of the International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance and Frontiers in Finance. She is also editor of special issues of the Journal of Financial Services Research; Journal of Multinational Financial Management and International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance.

Additionally, she has been a member of the group of experts on new financial instruments in the European Commission and speaker in the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union – ‘Growth Enhancing Access to Finance for Research and Innovation-. Silvena Dencheva Yordanova is an associate professor at VUM. Her professorship’s monograph is Virtual communities in tourism. She has many publications in electronic commerce, electronic business models in hospitality,leadership and creativity.She has a MBA degree. She is lecturing managerial disciplines on bachelor and master level such as People and organisations, Managing people across cultures, Strategic management, Organisational behavior,Management. CHRPM (USA) MMC (USA) FAAPM (USA)Prof (Dr) Riyas Sulaima Lebbe is a Management Consultant, Corporate Trainer and Independent Researcher in Human Rights and Peace Studies. He is an executive Director of the Centre for Peace Studies, Sri Lanka and the Universal Management Consultancy service. At present, being a Professor of Human Rights and Peace Studies of the British American University Africa and the Vice Chancellor for BAU Sri Lanka campus. Riyas is also serving as member of the council and the Management Committee of the BAU.He is a former Member of the Council of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka appointed by the University Grand Commission of Sri Lanka. He is specialized in Human Security, Conflict Prevention, Peace building, Human Rights , Gender Equality, Social & Economic Development, Natural Disaster Management, International Solidarity Network, Environment Protection, Project Management.Riyas is a Chartered Human Resource Project Manager and Master Management Consultant who is successfully completed multibillion Dollar projects in world reputed companies.He is a consultant and trainer for NGO management programs of the UN partner organizations. He is completed his MBA and DBA in Human Resource Management. Master of Science in International Relation at Girne American University –Cyprus.
